services.
Web Applications
Today's Web sites
must be dynamic and engaging. Off-the-shelf software does not always meet your
particular needs. We can custom-build dynamic Web applications to your
specifications.
Database Applications
Databases must be
expandable and responsive in demanding environments. We can design databases
tuned to your particular needs, whether that database will be used on the
desktop, portable wireless devices, the local area network, or the Internet.
Scientific Applications
You may have an
occasional need for custom software to solve mathematical or scientific
problems. Yet you do not have enough work to hire a permanent specialist.
We can build your software--from mathematical modeling to scientific
visualization--in a variety of general purpose or specialized languages.

We develop Web-based
programming in Java, Javascript, Perl, Active Server Pages, and ActiveX.
We support C, C++, and Visual Basic for desktop and client/server
applications. We develop scientific software in these languages plus
Matlab, Mathematica, Maple, and Fortran.

Center
Pennsylvania Transfer
System (PATS)
Client: Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (SSHE).
A Web-enabled system for tracking course transfers between SSHE universities
and Pennsylvania community colleges.
Eyes on the Prize:
Client: EyesOnThePrize.org.
The Center developed software components for this Web-based gynecological
cancer support community, including an electronic postcard system and a
glossary system that automatically links glossary terms to their definitions
throughout the Web site. The "Ask the Pros" question and answer database
allows visitors to submit questions that non-technical editors can answer
and schedule to be automatically posted to the web at specific times.
Answers are archived to provide continuing reference content for the site.
Link-to-Learn I-Grad Grant Program FAQ and Review Systems
Client: Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Visitors to this Web site can fill out a form to submit questions to
the grant program administrators. The administrators are notified by email
when questions
are submitted. The administrative menu allows the Department of Education to modify questions;
to answer questions privately, which sends email messages to the submitters; to
answer questions publicly, which adds the question and answer to the FAQ list;
and to delete questions. The Center also developed an on-line review system
for this grant program and another Link-to-Learn program. The system
allows reviewers to retrieve the scoring criteria, submit their reviews, and
view the status of their reviews. Once all reviews are completed, the grant
program administrators can view a ranked list of proposals, normalized to
account for the variation among reviewers' scores.

Event
Registration Program:
Client: Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Department of Education personnel use Web forms to create Web sites
for events. This program generates information pages for the events,
registration forms, waiting lists, and registrant lists. The registration
information is completely configurable.
Indiana
Area Network:
Client: Indiana County Technology Consortium.
This entire Web site is generated by server-side programs. Non-technical
volunteers can maintain the site using on-line forms.
VRMLConvert:
Client: Freeware.
This Mathematica program converts Mathematica's three-dimensional graphics
to Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) format. VRML is an interactive
three-dimensional environment for the Web.
